Consortium of International Investors to acquire a 45% stake in SOFTONE in order to accelerate the software company’s expansion in Greece and international markets
SOFTONE Group, a member of Olympia Group, announces the entry of Marco Veremis and an International Investor Group led by industry expert Franck Cohen in the company’s share capital and Board of Directors.
This investment is made entirely through the acquisition of the shares of G. Karatzikos, D. Valachis, N. Arenikis and S. Voglitsis. Following the transaction, G. Karatzikos, D. Valachis and N. Arenikis will resign from their position as members of the SOFTONE Board of Directors, while G. Karatzikos and D. Valachis remain consultants of the company.
Franck Cohen is a distinguished former SAP executive, having held senior roles in SAP’s organization in EMEA. In the past years, he has been working as a consultant to technology companies, such as UIPath and WORKDAY. Marco Veremis is co-founder and President of Upstream, while also a partner in BigPi Venture Capital. He is a member of the Executive Board of the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises and is very active as an investor and Board Director of various successful technology companies, such as Persado, Workable and Hellas Direct. Olympia Group and Antonis Kyriazis maintain their share capital of the company and their position in the Board of Directors.
