The transaction marks Hg&#8217;s first investment in Greece and values the business at around \u20ac1 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Olympia Group and Imker Group, ES1&#8217;s existing shareholders, will reinvest significant shareholdings alongside the management team, led by CEO Antonis Kotzamanidis.<\/p>\n<p>Formed in 2025 through the merger of Entersoft and Softone, ES1 is headquartered in Athens and also operates in Romania, Bulgaria and Cyprus. Its product suite spans ERP, CRM, retail, warehouse management, e-commerce, HCM\/payroll, and electronic invoicing. ES1 has established itself as a Greek category leader in ERP and digital invoicing, serving over 90,000 clients. It combines deep domain expertise with proprietary technology to deliver compliant, reliable and innovative solutions to businesses of all sizes.<\/p>\n<p>The investment comes as small and medium-sized businesses across Greece adopt digital tools at a rapid pace, driven in large part by the country&#8217;s shift to mandatory B2B e-invoicing under the myDATA framework. This mirrors a wider trend across Europe, where the EU&#8217;s VAT in the Digital Age reforms are pushing member states toward digital invoicing.<\/p>\n<p>Hg will work with ES1&#8217;s management team to complete the company&#8217;s transition to the cloud, further accelerate product innovation, and expand into neighbouring markets. Hg Catalyst, Hg&#8217;s in-house AI product incubator, will also support ES1 in building new AI-powered products across its platform.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Antonis Kotzamanidis, CEO of ES1, said<\/strong>: &#8220;ES1 was built to be Greece&#8217;s business software champion, and this partnership gives us the resources to go further and faster.
